For patients in underserved regions with complex urologic conditions, geography can be destiny. The specialized procedures that are routine in major academic medical centers are often entirely unavailable at institutions serving these populations, not because of a lack of need, but because of a lack of trained providers.

This initiative funds the targeted deployment of UroMissionsWorks surgeons to institutions where the need for specialized urologic expertise is greatest and where our presence can make an immediate, measurable difference. When our team arrives at a partner institution, they perform advanced procedures alongside local physicians, demonstrating techniques that those physicians can then practice and teach long after the mission ends.

Your contribution to this initiative ensures that patients in the most underserved settings can access the specialized care they need and that local providers gain the skills to continue providing it.

Our Story

UroMissionsWorks has been active in some of the most underserved urologic healthcare environments in the Western Hemisphere and beyond, including training sites in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, Nigeria, and Central and South America. In each of these settings, our team has encountered highly motivated local physicians eager to expand their capabilities, but without consistent access to the specialized mentorship and procedural experience needed to do so.

Our response has been to bring that expertise directly to them in their operating rooms, their clinical wards, and their lecture halls. The result is measurable – partner institutions have expanded the range of urologic procedures they offer, improved clinical outcomes for their patients, and developed stronger training programs for future physicians.
