Board of Directors

UroMissionsWorks, Inc. is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors comprising three Executive Committee officers and three Members-At-Large. Together, they bring decades of expertise across urology, law, strategic planning, nonprofit management, and healthcare administration, providing the leadership and oversight that guides our mission forward.

Arthur L. Burnett

Arthur L. Burnett, II, MD, MBA, FACS President, UroMissionsWorks, Inc. Chair of the Board

Arthur L. ("Bud") Burnett, II, MD, MBA, FACS, is a board-certified urologic surgeon with more than 30 years of active practice in urology. Dr. Burnett completed medical school in 1988 and subsequently undertook urology residency and fellowship training in reconstructive urology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, Maryland. where he later joined the faculty of the Department of Urology, ultimately attaining the rank of Professor of Urology. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

Throughout his career, Dr. Burnett has been a prolific educator, researcher, and global advocate for urologic health. He holds an Honorary Professorship in the Department of Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia & Critical Care at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of the West Indies Mona, Jamaica. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of numerous professional urological societies and associations, including the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons.

 

Dr. Burnett has received numerous academic and humanitarian distinctions, including the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for Community Service (2013), the Urology Care Foundation Distinguished Mentor Award (2016), the Baltimore Orioles Birdland Community Hero Award (2018), and recognition as an honoree by the Caribbean Urological Association (2019).

It is this lifelong commitment to education, mentorship, and service that inspired the founding of UroMissionsWorks, Inc. in 2017.

Arthur L. Burnett

Darnellena C. Burnett, CPA, ESQ Vice Chair of the Board

Darnellena C. Burnett, CPA, Esq. is a contract attorney with more than 25 years of experience in the legal profession, with deep expertise in contract law, privilege reviews, and pharmaceutical matters. Ms. Burnett earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (cum laude) from Hampton University and subsequently obtained her Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license. She worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she produced multimillion-dollar financial reports, before attending George Mason University School of Law (now Antonin Scalia Law School), where she earned her Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in economics.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Burnett has provided litigation support across a wide range of complex matters, including pharmaceutical litigation, healthcare mergers, construction disputes, intellectual property issues, retirement plan compliance, and fraud allegations. She has also held notable roles in public service, including Office Manager for Kentucky’s Commission on Human Rights, Legal Intern for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, and Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing Authority.

Ms. Burnett is a member in good standing of five state bars – Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Kentucky, and maintains active CPA licensure through ongoing professional education.

Rhonice M.A. Burnett, MBA Vice President of Strategic Planning & Development Secretary of the Board

Rhonice M.A. Burnett, MBA is a seasoned strategic planning consultant with more than 30 years of experience across healthcare, finance, and international business. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University, and a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with a focus on planning, finance, and international business.

Ms. Burnett joined Johns Hopkins in 1996 as a Marketing Project Manager and went on to hold a series of progressive leadership roles in marketing, business development, and strategic planning. She served as Director of Strategic Planning for Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI), where she led all planning activities for the international division, and previously served as Director of Strategic Planning for Johns Hopkins Medicine within the Department of Health Care Transformation and Strategic Planning.
Prior to Johns Hopkins, Ms. Burnett held positions at CIGNA Property and Casualty Companies in Philadelphia, T. Rowe Price Associates in Baltimore, and served as an acquisitions officer for the United States Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts. Her diverse background in healthcare administration, financial strategy, and organizational planning brings essential structure and vision to UroMissionsWorks’ growth and development efforts.

Uzoma A. Anele

Uzoma A. Anele, MD, Member-At-Large

Dr. Uzoma A. Anele is a urologic surgeon specializing in genitourinary reconstruction. He completed his undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He subsequently completed an NIH/NIDDK-funded two-year postdoctoral research training fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute and the Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Anele completed his urology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and a clinical fellowship in genitourinary reconstruction at the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. He is the author of more than 40 published manuscripts and book chapters, and currently serves as Director of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Louisville.

Uzoma A. Anele

Robin Roberts, BSc, MBBS, FRCSC, MBA

Dr. Robin Roberts is a pioneering urologist and healthcare leader whose career has been defined by a commitment to advancing urologic services throughout the Caribbean. A medical graduate of the University of the West Indies, Dr. Roberts completed his urology residency with a Fellowship in Renal Transplantation at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He returned to the Bahamas in 1987 and has since been a driving force in the development of urological services in both the public and private sectors across the Bahamian archipelago and the wider Caribbean region. Dr. Roberts holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration and Policy from the University of Miami and is a graduate of the UWI Caribbean Leadership Institute. He currently serves as Director and Senior Lecturer at the UWI School of Clinical Medicine & Research in the Bahamas, and serves as the inaugural Chairman of the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority, championing the cause for Universal Health Coverage.

In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to medicine and public service, Dr. Roberts was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Caribbean Association of Urology in 2017, and was honored by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the 2017 London Gazette New Year Honour List, receiving the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Uzoma A. Anele

Charles E. Collier, Ph.D.

Dr. Charles E. Collier brings a distinguished background in military service, nonprofit leadership, and organizational management to the UroMissionsWorks Board. A retired United States Air Force officer, Dr. Collier served more than 25 years on active duty, including tours in Germany, Greece, Italy, and Spain, and four years at the Pentagon before retiring from military service.

After earning his doctorate from George Washington University in 2002, Dr. Collier founded The Institute for At Risk Children (IARC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivered therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, group therapy, parent and teacher training, mentoring, and neurofeedback to students in Washington, D.C. public schools, with funding support from the U.S. Department of Education. In 2005, he established a second 501(c)(3), The Institute for Service Disabled Military Veterans, securing funding from government contractors including Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, and General Electric.

Dr. Collier currently serves as President of The Collier Group Incorporated, which provides logistical and administrative support to government agencies in the Washington Metropolitan Area. His extensive experience in nonprofit formation, grant writing, and contract administration is a vital asset to UroMissionsWorks as the organization continues to grow and secure funding for its global mission.
